Ford CD4E and Mazda LA4A-EL transmissions may exhibit such problems as harsh engagements, and/or soft or harsh shifting, particularly from 1^st to 2^nd Gear. These complaints can be due to worn or out-of-round accumulator bores and/or pistons sticking in the bore. Sonnax accumulator piston kit 73840-24 for the 2-4 piston, 73840-LR for Low/Reverse and 73840-FWD for Forward.
